Every time you feel in God's creatures something pleasing and attractive, do not let your attention be arrested by them alone, but, passing them by, transfer your thought to God and say: "O my God, if Thy creations are so full of beauty, delight and joy, how infinitely more full of beauty, delight and joy art Thou Thyself, Creator of all!
- Nicodemus of the Holy Mountain

You can’t get to joy by making everything perfect. You can only get there by seeing in every imperfection all that’s joy.

More Art to Share

Here are a couple more of Molly's pieces. I particularly love the dog, and I'm also amazed at the improvement in her people.

  1. She's quite the artist! I always wished I could draw but its not a talent I was given. I enjoy seeing her pictures!

  2. I also love that dog! Of course I like anything "dog"! :) Hope your roads are okay, I heard about that rain/sleet mess that fell on top of your lovely snow, ugh!

  3. Does she have any desire to get some professional training? I mean I wouldn't want to push it on her if she's not so inclined but, gosh, she sure seems to have talent!

  4. Mama Tea-
I'm glad you enjoyed seeing her work. I wish I could draw too. I did a bit in high school, but it almost seem that, for some anyway, if you don't use it you loose it. I think that's what happened to me.
    Erin-
The paved roads are fine right now, but some of the dirt roads are truly an icy mess. It's really hard on the dog's feet too. Katie is bleedong from a cut on the pad (from the ice). I guess I'll have to buy her some booties.
    Mama Pea-
I have encouraged that, but so far she hasn't gone for it. I think she's getting closer to being ready, though!
