Every time you feel in God's creatures something pleasing and attractive, do not let your attention be arrested by them alone, but, passing them by, transfer your thought to God and say: "O my God, if Thy creations are so full of beauty, delight and joy, how infinitely more full of beauty, delight and joy art Thou Thyself, Creator of all!

Oh, Patty, you're such a good person! Even when some of the things you listed that others of us might not be so thankful for or count them as blessings, you always manage to put a good spin on them. You're a good example for us all!
ReplyDelete"the whole family in one room".... AGREED! Last year this time my husband was eating Thanksgiving dinner in the Persian Gulf in his uniform, poor thing! I'm happy to join you on this blessing this year :)
ReplyDeleteyou are the best example of what we all SHOULD be-I am thankful we had a nice thanksgiving-won't say more cus I'm still in denial even tho I just say the real thing at my SIL'S funeral don't give up the ship
ReplyDeleteMama Pea- LOL! Well, it looks good on paper, anyway. :) I do try.
ReplyDeleteErin- I AM thankful for all of us here together, but I bet I don't understand half as much as you do what it is I have. I'm so happy for you and your family that you get to have the whole holiday season together this year.
Judy- So true, don't give up! I'm sure this holiday season you'll be soaking up all you can to keep for all time, just as we all should do, even when there's no apparent danger lurking. And if/when we all get to share a happy outcome with you, life will just be that much sweeter for all of us. :) Hugs and blessings!
