Hey all! My little sis and I were able to sneak away this past weekend to kayak around a beautiful lake and stay at a friend's cabin. It was wonderful! It didn't rain much up the trail, not at all like here by the lake. We did get a wonderful rainbow though!
Here's my sis.
Beautiful rainbow. Double, actually, though the second one was quite faint.
Twilight paddle in the dead calm. So peaceful and beautiful!
We are surrounded by water on all sides out here and yet to me, Minnesota has the most beautiful paddling waters of all! Looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteHi Erin! I wouldn't really know, but I DO like the fact that no water moccasin's are going to fall on my head up here! I haven't been out on the water in any other state, though. I do LOVE those cypress swamps, all green and cool looking. Somehow they always look a little ominous though. I think you're a brave woman!
ReplyDeleteDon't even bother Patty! Honestly, Northern MN has world class paddling waters, you are lucky indeed! When members from our kayaking group out here find out I come from MN I always get a "ooooh, is that where the Boundary Waters is?"... to which I reply "no, I think that's in Michigan"...LOL, keep the riff-raff out! The swamps are beautiful, but it's really hard to relax when you are too busy scanning for snakes and big cypress stumps underwater waiting to capsize you or rip a nice hole in your fiberglass!
ReplyDeleteGlad you two got to get away for the weekend. It looks beautiful!
